The used car challenge - KIA????

 I quote the manual:

Now that you are the owner of a Kia vehicle, you’ll probably be asked a lot of ques-

tions about your vehicle and the company like “What is a Kia?”, Who is Kia?”, “What does ‘Kia’

 mean?”.

Answer in manual:

The first syllable, Ki, in the word “Kia” means “to arise from to the world” or “to come up out of to

the world.” The second syllable, a, means “Asia.” So, the word Kia, means “to arise from”

or “to come up out of Asia to the world.”

Now I know it ( I guess many of you as well for the first time)

Ok I tested a Kia Sportage, 2005, CBU import, 148000 km, Price 11800 RM

- Engine 30% worn, 3.5 Stars, cool

- Alternator and Gear Box 10% wear and tear, 4.5 stars, excellent.

Extensive test drive on Pasir Gudang Highway, comfortable, smooth, no hick ups , no noises, very

good. Not a rocket, expected, a SUV.

But here is a valid point also for myself and the choice within the budget, we might need to transport

stuff, maybe even bulky, we might need to go on bad roads in industrial areas. That should be a domain

for an SUV. We are not talking off road, that you can’t with this small engine SUV, but you notice the

difference already on the many variation of humps on Malaysia’s roads, lesser feel of impact, simply a

 good ride.

A very pleasant surprise not only in terms of the measurement but the overall quality and love and care

one can feel in the cabin of the car. It feels still rather new, maybe 3-4 years old.

In the value for money scale of our purpose, the strongest contender.
