Used car challenge - "To worry or not to worry about a 3 Star gearbox"

 After the disaster of being late to book the car, new day, new test, new luck?

Meet a Kia Optima 2.0 registered 2010 but pre K, so 2008 manufactured. 148000 km, Price: 16000 MYR

Ok higher price, but how was the test?????

Engine 20% wear and tear, 4 stars, very convincing indeed

Alternator 10% wear, 4.5 stars, no worries at all

Gearbox …………..40% wear and tear, 3 stars…………. Should I worry?

3 stars is still a good result, moreover, the dealer will service engine oil and gearbox oil (they agree I can be there while doing it). There is no imminent breakdown risk.

That gives me the possibility to put straight our extremely good additive against wear and tear into the gearbox (WEARBAN), 200ml with the gearbox oil. Then I would re-measure a second time, very possible with fresh oil and wearban the result will be better.

I am quite itchy to buy this car………………………………
